Dr. Johnny Zhao is a board-certified dermatologist and the founder of Skyline Dermatology in Hutto, Texas. An Austin native and salutatorian of Westlake High School, he earned a chemistry degree cum laude from Duke University before attending Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, where he graduated at the top of his class, received the Distinguished Max Rukes Student Scholarship, and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. After a medical internship in the California Bay Area, he completed dermatology residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, serving as administrative Chief Resident in his final year. Following four years of practice at Westlake Dermatology, Dr. Zhao opened Skyline Dermatology to bring comprehensive care to the Austin area. He treats the full range of skin conditions, from acne, psoriasis, and eczema to skin cancers including melanoma, and is highly experienced with modern biologic therapies and advanced skin cancer surgery. He also provides cosmetic services such as Botox and Dysport (performing more than 1,000 treatments), dermal fillers, chemical peels, and laser procedures. Outside of medicine, Dr. Zhao enjoys going to the gym, paddle boarding on Town Lake, exploring Austin’s food scene, and cheering for Duke basketball, Manchester United, and Austin FC.
